March 2015 Our lady here, bereft, heartbroken, suffers from a lack of love. She has been abandoned, left alone to rot, with nothing and no one to give her love and affections to. This lack slowly causes her decay, and she loses a little bit here and there until one day, it brings her to the peak of the dark night of the soul. A liminal state, where danger and transcendence are equally available. It is here, in a desperate moment, where our lady looks to the sky and finally notices the moon, her constant companion. In that moment, the love which she thought had left, begins to rise within with such sublime ecstasy that she must pour it into something, she must give it to someone. And, so she pours that love into the moon. And The Moon, as the mirror of our mystery, can’t help but send that love back to her. This love, her own love, becomes her salvation; regrowing the flesh on her bones, flushing her skin pink; bringing our lady back to life.
