Wherein Queen Persephone is visited in The Underworld by a classical portraitist. She has claimed her throne as Queen of this realm, and stands before us resolute, powerful, and whole within herself. Pomegranates adorn her dress, the symbol of the hunger which kept her in The Underworld (with one set apart, symbolic of the call to return to the middle world in spring). Her crown is made of winter trees, a symbol of the season as experienced in the middle world while she reigns below.
