About
I have been singing and performing since the age of 14 (1977). I realized a talent for singing in elementary school choir where we learned the song "Black Water" by the Doobie Brothers. The unique harmony parts were very appealing, and I loved how harmony came together to create amazing feelings, ambience, and texture to the songs. Many of my favorite bands have excellent harmony in their vocals. I continued singing in high school choirs and shows. I also started to learn piano, but eventually switched to guitar. Again, the rhythm and feel of the guitar became more important to me then studying lead playing, so I focused on style and capturing the rythym and feeling of songs. After high school I started as a musical theater major in college (vocal/acting/dance). I eventually moved from St. Louis, MO to Southern CA to pursue a performing career.
