Artist accounts have all the features of fan accounts. Additionally, they are visible in the artist sections and search results, allowing users and fans to discover them and their talents. To be considered an artist on the platform, you must upload a profile picture, a banner, add your skills, and upload content in at least one art category.

There is no fee or subscription required to register an account with us! We want all our early users to enjoy the full experience of our platform without any cost. Consider it our way of saying, “Welcome aboard!”

As a visitor to our site, you can browse, search, and enjoy available content on the website without having to register; however, certain features require you to register and have an account on Medelz. By creating a Medelz account, you get access to additional features such as the ability to nominate artists and performances in competitions, follow artists, post comments, like content posted by artists, and more.

If you wish to establish your profile and upload your own content on our platform, you must register and have an account.

We verify email addresses and phone numbers of all users that register on our platform using two-factor authentication.

5. Navigate to appropriate art categories, e.g., MyMusic, MyPhotography, MyArt, etc., where you can upload audio files in MP3 format, video files in MP4 format, and images in supported formats. Make sure to categorize your content appropriately.

Additionally, artists may be booked for gigs and events if they offer services once the platform starting offering the booking feature. Medelz may reward users based on their overall contribution and engagement with the platform in terms of their fan following, likes, follows, awards, and overall contribution on the platform determined solely by the Medelz management.

This allows you to choose content stored on your local computer or, if you have already uploaded it to the Medelz website in your content portfolio, you can select it from there.

Yes, to withdraw from a competition, you will need to delete the entry from your profile, and it will be removed from the competition. To ensure you don’t lose all comments, likes, favorites, etc., associated with the video, please upload a copy of the video you want to submit to the competition in the ‘Private’ section of your profile. This way, if you ever need to withdraw from the competition, you can simply delete the private copy of the video, keeping everything intact with the public version, including comments, likes, ratings, etc.

Entries submitted to a competition are ranked based on judges’ scores and/or the number of virtual awards, called Medelz, that contestants receive during the competition. The scoring process may involve a combination of these elements. The weighting and use of these elements vary for each competition and specific details on the scoring and ranking process for each competition will be provided in the competition rules and guidelines.

Each competition organizer will choose their own judges, who may vary for each competition. Please refer to the specific competition to find out who the judges are for a particular competition.

There are six categories of art on our platform related to visual art and performing art, including music, film, fashion, dance, paintings, and photography. Each category has its own specific criteria. For example:

• Music: Vocal technique, pitch accuracy, song interpretation, and overall performance.
• Film: Storytelling, cinematography, editing, and acting.
• Fashion: Creativity, originality, construction, and overall aesthetic.
• Dance: Technique, expression, choreography, and stage presence.
• Paintings: Composition, use of color, technique, and originality.
• Photography: Composition, lighting, subject matter, and creativity.

Results for each competition will be announced on our website and will be available under the “Competitions / ENDED” tab on the date indicated in the overall timeline.

Allowing ongoing submissions encourages continuous creativity and provides artists with a platform to showcase their work at any time. Just as voting remains open for continuous appreciation, keeping submissions open ensures that new and existing talent can always be discovered and celebrated.

This approach helps artists who may not have known in time about a particular competition that was very specific to their art category. These artists, who feel that they excel in that category, will still find a place where they can contribute and submit their talent. By keeping submissions open, we provide a relevant venue for their work to be seen and appreciated by an audience interested in that specific art form and topic, ensuring their talent finds the recognition it deserves.

No, awarding Medelz through an artist’s profile page is not the same as awarding Medelz through the button on the entry submitted to a competition. Only the Medelz awarded through the competition route, where users click on the entry and award Medelz from there, are counted towards the contestant’s scoring and ranking in the competition.

• NOMINATIONS: Nominations are a way for users to recognize and endorse a contestant’s entry. They act as a measure of popularity and help increase the contestant’s visibility within the community.

• AWARDING MEDELZ: Medelz are tokens of appreciation that users can award to contestants. Medelz provide a tangible form of appreciation and can contribute to the contestant’s overall score and ranking in the competition.

Nominations are a way for users, including both artists and fans, to recognize and support contestants participating in online competitions. By submitting a nomination, users endorse a contestant’s entry, acknowledging their talent and contribution to the competition. Nominations can be thought of as a measure of popularity, as they help increase the visibility of contestants and give them greater recognition within the community.

Submissions may be final depending on the rules of each competition. In some cases, contestants may delete their older entry and submit a new one, but please note that this may result in the loss of all previous nominations, awards, and scoring associated with the original entry. This is to ensure process fairness and transparency.

When users view a submitted entry, they will see a “Nominate”  button to submit their nomination once the nominations are open. Competitions can be customized with multiple nominations for each fan, with varying limits and requirements. Please refer to the specific competition’s guidelines for detailed information related to nominations.

In order to submit your nominations, please follow the steps below:

• Go to the Competition of interest.
• Click on the banner or View Details.
• Select the entry of the artist, you would like to submit your nomination for and click on the Play icon.
• A new pop-up window will be displayed to view/play the submission.
• At the bottom right corner of that window, you will see a button for “Nominate” once the nominations are open.
• Click on the button to nominate your favorite artist.
