August 2013 In an unguarded moment, two lovers reveal to one another their truest, innermost selves. She reveals her allegiance to the mysteries of existence, the effects of which are subtle and not totally within her control. He admits to a sense of feeling like a house of cards, and is a bit more fragile than he lets on. In their beaks, messenger birds hold the faces of the two lovers, tokens of their identities, almost an afterthought, for they are not nearly as important as the soul bond which has been forged.
